Kids games include big wheel races, a scrap fish derby, small boat races, foot races and more. You won’t want to miss live music downtown or the fireworks show on the night of the 3rd! The chamber still needs volunteers - and sponsors - to run events at the town's multiday Fourth of July celebration. And there's just one big, bright, sparkly unknown. "The only worry is the fireworks," said Tracey Martin, executive director of the chamber of commerce, which organizes the holiday extravaganza. Schedule: The fun is returning with four days full of games, music, food, booms, pops, pows and wows. In addition to all the popular events held at last year's Fourth of July celebration, six more have been included in the schedule after being on hiatus for a couple years, and three new events have been added. The schedule of events starts with an Alaska Airlines-sponsored golf tournament at Muskeg Meadows on Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30. The last event of the week will be the street dance on July 4 starting at 8 p.m. at the downtown pavilion and Lynch Street, with music by the Wrangell band ShotrocK.
