Starting with the Lander Community Foundation Challenge for Charities races, Lander Senior Center pancake breakfast, Pioneer Days Parade, Rotary’s Annual Buffalo BBQ, Lander class reunions, 129th annual Pioneer Days Rodeo, and the ability for individuals to have their own firework display within the city limits for their own enjoyment. For a full Independence Day on July 4 attend the early morning Challenge for Charities Half Marathon, 5k and 1 Mile Race and Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast on Main Street, then at 10:00 a.m. watch the historic Lander Pioneer Days Parade, followed by the annual Rotary Buffalo BBQ in City Park. The Lander Rotary Club 4th of July Buffalo BBQ will be at City Park in Lander from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Hit up the parade and then head on over for some grub! Tickets can be purchased early at the Lander Chamber, Mr. D’s, or from a Lander Rotarian. Don't forget to join us in City Park from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. on July 4th for the Rotary Buffalo BBQ! Dozens of Wyoming communities will celebrate America’s independence Friday — the Fourth of July — with parades, barbecues, concerts and fireworks. Here is The Lander Rotary Club's annual Buffalo BBQ happens each afternoon in City Park and is well worth the long wait for lunch. From 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. residents gather in the scenic park to celebrate with BBQ, music, and games. It does everything from arranging the processing of the donated buffalo to printing tickets to lining up Rotarians to work to make the event a success. Committee Members The annual Rotary Buffalo Barbecue will be Thursday, July 4, 11 am-2 pm at Lander City Park. The menu consists of buffalo bratwurst w/sauerkraut or grilled onions, buffalo hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw, corn on the cob, chips, soda and water. The Lander Rotary Club marked the 40th year of its community-wide Buffalo BBQ on July 4 by serving more than 1200 plated meals to Lander residents and visitors.
