With heavy traffic expected at Michigan’s beaches this weekend, conditions are expected to be ideal in Lake Michigan. Here is a daily update of what conditions are expected for those looking to enter the water. Each day will be update with the latest conditions and outlook provided by the National Independence Day parade At 9:45 a.m. on July 4, another long-standing tradition will take place by the flag pole on the corner of River and Division streets. Local veterans from the United Veterans Council of Manistee County will raise the flag prior to the start of the Forest Festival parade.
