All programs are free and open to the public, except the Annual Meeting & Evening Reception. This annual Fourth of July celebration is a tradition on Madeline Island. Island residents and visitors gather on the Museum Green and take part in the day’s festivities including a parade, speeches, music, and more. There's nothing like a Madeline Island 4th of July! The Parade starts off at 10:30 AM (Line-up of participants should begin around 9:45AM near the Marina and Yacht Club). A wonderful Celebration on the Green with speakers and live music takes place after the parade in the green space in front of the Museum. Fireworks light up the sky at 10PM. After the celebration, visit the Madeline Island Museum where the general admission ticket is half price for the 4th of July! Cost: This event is free and open to the public. Know Before You Go: Outdoor activities could be canceled due to weather. The museum store is open during operating hours. Guests may exit and return throughout the day. It is with little surprise, but considerable regret that we announce the cancellation of Madeline Island's Annual 4th of July Celebration. Bayfield's firework display will be on July 4, at dusk. Memorial Park offers a great location for watching the fireworks. The fireworks show is weather-dependent.
