The Ukrainian Association of Washington State warmly invites everyone to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine’s independence on 24 August 2023 in Liberty Park, Renton, WA. The Ukrainian Association of Washington State has proudly hosted this special annual event for decades. There will be a variety of Ukrainian diaspora in the U.S. celebrate the Independence Day of Ukraine with picnics, anthems, folk songs, dances, and food amid Ukraine’s war with Russia. Within the United Kingdom, Independence Day saw a significant celebration from the estimated 100,000 Ukrainian refugees in the kingdom, and parades in support of Ukraine and protests condemning Russia were both held.
