Rancho Cordova Fourth of July Celebration Rancho Cordova is having a two-day event in celebration of the Fourth of July, with carnival rides, concerts and fireworks. Celebrate our country’s Independence Day with Orinda’s annual parade, sponsored by The Orinda Association. It’s a full day of events culminating with a concert in the park. On July 4th there are events for every age group starting with the annual Pancake Breakfast, flag raising ceremony, fun run, parade, live music, food, games and booths in the park following the parade. This year's artist is Kellen Ha, a fourth grader from Wagner Ranch. Celebrate with an exciting parade starting at 10 am, followed by music in the Community Center Park. There will be food trucks and beer on site. Parade Route: The 1-mile-long parade will proceed through the Crossroads business district, from the Theatre Side to the Village Side. Founded in 1963, the East Bay Banjo Club will, once again, grace this year’s 40th 4th of July parade. The non-profit organization is dedicated to the spirit of playing “happy” banjo music and their range of banjo playing experience ranges from several months to as much as 50 years. Heggie and Gross concurred and Orinda’s 4th of July parade and celebration was born! The festivities have continued to grow year after year with lots of fun activities for children from a Hot Wheels race to balloon animals to making things at the Home Depot booth.
